Robert "Bobby" Grimes, age 54, of Smyrna, TN, went to be with Lord on Thursday, March 17, 2016. A native of Smyrna, TN he was preceded in death by his father Paul E. Grimes Sr. and his brother Paul E. Grimes Jr.

Funeral services will be Monday at 1:00 p.m. at Woodfin Chapel Smyrna. Brother Ron Caldwell will officiate.

Bobby is survived by his wife, Martha Grimes; mother Reba Parham Grimes of Smyrna; son, Steven Paul Grimes; daughter, Shelby Nicole Grimes; step-daughter, Lynsey Glaskox; brother, Gary Donald Grimes of Decatur, AL; and sister, Lisa Faye Anderson of Rochester, MI.

Bobby was a Christian and was a self-employed Carpenter. He was a 1980 graduate of Smyrna High School. Bobby enjoyed University of Tennessee Football and Nascar, especially Dale Earnhardt Jr. He enjoyed spending time at the lake, fishing and water skiing. He loved his son and daughter and was proud to be their father. Bobby took pride in being around his family and friends and was always helping people; he would give the shirt off his back. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Memorials in memory of Bobby can be made to a charity of your choice.

Visitation will be Monday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Woodfin Chapel in Smyrna.
