Robert K. Gossett, age 83, of Smyrna, TN went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 14, 2015. A native of Hickman County, Tennessee he was the son of the late Claud and Willie Mae Clark Gossett. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Opal Lucille Gossett Bissinger; niece, Vivian Cook; nephew, Wendell Bissinger and sister-in-law, Myrtle Gossett. Funeral services will be Friday at Woodfin Chapel in Smyrna at 11:00 a.m. Brother Ward will officiate. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with military honors. Mr. Gossett is survived by his two brothers, J.W. Gossett and his wife, Christine of Smyrna, TN and Leamon Gossett of Murfreesboro, TN; niece, Audrey Doremus; nephews, Larry Bissinger, Garland Bissinger, Mike Bissinger, Roy Gossett, Wayne Gossett, Ron Gossett and Tim Gossett; along with many extended cousins, great and great great nieces and nephews. Mr. Gossett was a member of Rock Springs Church of Christ. He was the former owner of the Greyhound Bus Station in Murfreesboro, TN. Mr. Gossett was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and many friends. Visitation will be Thursday at Woodfin Chapel in Smyrna from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
