Robert "Bob" Eugene Plung , age 79 of LaVergne, TN, passed away Monday December 4, 2017. A native of Waterloo, IA, he was the son of the late John and Irene Courter Plung. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Janice Gleason Plung, a son, Michael Plung, brothers, Darwin and John Plung, and a sister, Joan Phillips.

Mr. Plung is survived by a son, Kevin Plung of Antioch, TN; daughter-in-law, Kim Plung of LaVergne, TN; grandsons, Brett and Brandon Plung both of LaVergne, TN; and five great-grandsons, Braydon, Payden, Brantley, Kyden, and Daymian Plung all of LaVergne, TN.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday December 16, 2017 at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna with Rev. Alan Smith officiating. Visitation will be two hours before the 2:00 PM service.

Mr. Plung was retired from John-Deere as a test engineer.
