Robert Franklin Drake, Sr., age 74, of Hoovers Gap, TN died Thursday June 28, 2012. Mr. Drake was a native of Hoovers Gap and was son of the late Jim Asa and Lela Lovvern Drake. He was also preceded in death by his son, Robie Drake. Funeral Services will be at 2:00PM Sunday at Hoovers Gap Church. Rev. Raymond Albright will officiate. Burial will be in the Drake Cemetery. Mr. Drake is survived by his daughters, Robin Gatto and Wren Carter, both of Manchester; grandchildren, Emilee Koops, Loal, Benjamin and Christopher Carr; two great grandchildren, Taylor Koops and Serenity Toolie Barnes; and special cousin, Lynnie Pearson of Bell Buckle. Mr. Drake was a member of Hoovers Gap Church and he served in the US Army. He was a mason and a member of the Beech Grove masonic lodge. He was retired from Paramount Packaging. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 4:00PM to 8:00PM Saturday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with a masonic service at 7:00PM. 893-5151
