Robert Crisp, Sr., age 72 of Murfreesboro, died Friday at Centennial Medical Center. He was a native of Greensburg, Indiana and a son of the late Noah and Martha Crisp. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Rusty Crisp; children, Bob Crisp, Jr. of Murfreesboro, Lynette Grant of Smyrna, Don Crisp and his wife Theresa of Decatur, Alabama, and Ramon Vargas and his wife Laura of LaVergne; a brother, Steve Crisp of Illinois; a sister, Janet Dobbins and her husband Mark of Norwood, Ohio; a nephew, Greg Carter and his wife Andy of Illinois; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren, and a host of other loving family and friends. Mr. Crisp was a veteran of the United States Air Force and served as a 1st class airman bomb navigator in Lincoln, Nebraska and worked on B-47's and B-52's. He was promoted to staff sergeant and transferred to Frances E. Warren Air Force base in Cheyenne, WY where he served as a Missileer and was responsible for quality control in three different states. He most recently retired as a senior supervisor of security for Waldron Security at Lifeway Christian after eleven years. Mr. Crisp was a Christian and a loving husband and father who loved telling jokes, going fishing, and spending time with his family. A memorial graveside service with military honors will be held 11:00am Monday, December 29, 2014 at the Nashville National Cemetery.
