Robert Joseph Carroll, age 86, of Murfreesboro, passed away Saturday, August 4, 2018.  He died at home as his family embraced him in prayer. He was a native of Cincinnati, Ohio and a veteran of the US Army. He was an active member of Saint Rose Catholic Church, where he was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was known for his love of golf, his quick wit, sense of humor, and his unwavering love for family.

Mr. Carroll was preceded in death by his wife of more than 57 years, Theresa Carroll.  He is survived by his five daughters, Beth Carroll of Murfreesboro, Jill Brown and her husband Keith of Tullahoma, Pam Kimbro and her husband Doug of Nashville, Barb Nazarczyk and her husband Larry of Corning, NY, and Trese Tank and her husband Pete of Murfreesboro and ten grandchildren, Lynne Napatalung, Anne Napatalung, Sierra Mushett, Hannah Kimbro, Taylor Kimbro, Grace Kimbro, Connor Nazarczyk, Alex Nazarczyk, Robert Tank and Elizabeth Tank.

The family will receive friends Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 11:00 am until the time of a Requiem Mass beginning at 12:00 noon at Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church with Reverend Joseph Fessenden officiating. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in his memory to Saint Thomas Health Foundation supporting Medical Missions.
