Robert William Belcher , age 82 of Murfreesboro, TN, but formerly of Dalton, GA, passed away Sunday October 15, 2017. A native of Morrison, TN, he was the son of the late Frank Bryan Belcher, Sr. and Violet Hazel McAfee Belcher. Mr. Belcher was also preceded in death by his sister, Betty Jo Belcher and a brother, Frank Bryan Belcher, Jr.

Mr. Belcher is survived by his wife of 56 years, Patsy Hockett Belcher; daughters, Deborah Gwyn Belcher and her husband Roy Eldon Hoffman, Jr. of Murfreesboro, TN, and Tammy Lynne Belcher and her spouse Angela Kaye Vick, M.D. of Valley Cottage, NY.

A visitation and gathering to celebrate the life of Mr. Belcher will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday October 18, 2017 at the home of his daughter Deborah, 1911 Jose Way Murfreesboro, TN 37130.

Mr. Belcher was a member of the Methodist Church and a retired Guidance Counselor. He received his BS and Master's Degree from MTSU, and an EDS Degree from UT Knoxville.
