Richmond C. Vaughn, age 75, of LaVergne, TN, went to be with the Lord on Friday, July 17, 2015. A native of Rutherford County he was the son of the late Clarence and Vera Merritt Vaughn. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Monday at Woodfin Chapel in Smyrna. Brother Jimmy Carver will officiate. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with military honors. Mr. Vaughn is survived by his daughter, Bridget Bennington and her husband Scott of LaVergne; grandson, Daniel Taylor of LaVergne; brother, Kenneth Vaughn and his wife Cheryl of Lebanon, TN; sisters, Peggy Estes of Murfreesboro, Dot Allison of Manchester, TN and Geraldine Floyd and her husband Wayne of Manchester, TN; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Vaughn was a member of Jefferson Pike Church of Christ. He served in the United States Army and was retired after 30 years with Arcata Graphics as a printing press mechanic. Mr. Vaughn enjoyed working on different projects. He loved cars and country music and visiting with his friends at Hardees in Smyrna. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Woodfin Chapel in Smyrna.
