RICHARD AARON TRAVIS, age 78 of Eagleville died January 13, 2009. He was a native of Rutherford County and was preceded in death by his parents, Sam W. and Jennie Lou Hendrix Travis, and one sister, Joy Elizabeth McDaniel. Visitation will be Thursday 3:00PM to 7:00 PM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Funeral service will be 11:00AM Friday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Bro. Donnie Clayton officiating. Burial will follow in Carlton Cemetery with Military Rites. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Gloria Sharber Travis of Eagleville; daughters, Barbara S. (Paul) Williams of Shelbyville, Wanda Sharber of Christiana, Cheryl (Mike) Cobb of Decherd; grandchildren, Susan Davenport, Troy and Chad Williams, Elicia Evans, Kellie Mears, Kevin Willis, Michelle Reid, David Cobb; 17 great-grandchildren; brothers, Charles W. Mink and Sara Travis of Murfreesboro, Sam W. Bud and Marie Travis of Rockvale; sisters, Willie Bell (W.G.) Cawthon, Dorothy Clark, Mary Ann (Melvin) Fann, Edna (Lloyd) Davis all of Murfreesboro, Kathaleen, Donnell of Halls Hill Community, Betty Lou Landon of Gruetli Laager, TN. Mr. Travis was a member of Rockvale Church of God and was retired from Perfect Equipment. Woodfin Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
