Richard Lee Maness, age 53 of Murfreesboro, passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2015. He was born in Savannah, GA and raised in Joelton, TN. Funeral service will be 11:00am Monday at Third Baptist Church with Steve Hutson, Jimmy Kesey and Patrick Kenny officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Mr. Maness is survived by his wife of 18 years, Kathy Maness, daughters, Sara Barber and her husband Luke, Savanna and McKenzi Maness all of Murfreesboro, parents, Jesse, Jr. and Ella Maness of Joelton, TN, sisters, Carrie Tomey of Mountain Home, ID, Vonnie Schmidt and her husband Randall of Joelton, TN and two brothers, Jessie Maness, III and his wife Kathi of Gallatin, TN and Joseph Cameron "Sam" Maness and his wife Nicole of Greenbrier, TN and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Maness was a member of Third Baptist Church. He attended Cumberland University where he played baseball and was a sales representative for Kenny Pipe and Supply. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital in his memory.
