Mr. Richard "Rick" Liles, age 69, of Smyrna, TN passed away Sunday, October 2, 2016. He was born in Gastonia, NC to the late Jesse Foster and Mary Frances Deanheardt Liles. At the time of his illness, he was employed by Dr. John Byrnes for over 20 years.  He was a mechanic (he could fix anything that had a motor), fabricator, welder, and took care of the livestock as well as maintenance of the Byrnes properties. He proudly served his country in the United States Army.

Mr. Liles is survived by his sons, Todd Liles of Franklin, KY, Ricky Liles, II and his fiancée Alizabeth Sirikoun of Smyrna, and Derrick Barnes-Liles and his wife Denise of Brownsville, KY; step-son, Donnie Barnes of Bowling Green, KY; grandchildren, Kelsey, Christopher, Timmy, Aaiden, Erika, and Alexis; and brothers, Ronnie Liles and his wife Blue of LaVergne, TN and Mike Liles of New Llano, LA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Brandi Liles.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 8, 2016 at 5:00pm at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna.
