Richard "Rick" L. Ash, Jr., age 70, passed away Friday, August 29, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, Betty Jo and Richard L. Ash, Sr.; brothers, Roger Ash and Joseph Ash; and sisters, Janice Garrison and Kim Flaherty.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Patty Ash; sisters, Pamela Hagelberg (Greg) and Cindy Farrar (Steve); brothers, Jimmy Ash (Jennifer) and Jay Ash; sisters-in-law, Kay Ash and Mary Ash; brother-in-law, Mike Garrison; several nieces, nephews, and many other family and friends.

Rick was the owner and operator of American Insulation for several years. He enjoyed playing his guitar "big red," listening to music, storytelling, and spending time with his family and beloved dogs. He was known for his kindness, generosity, and tough but fair ways. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Visitation with the family will be Wednesday, September 3, 2025 from 5:00-8:00 PM at Woodfin Chapel Smyrna. Funeral service will be Thursday, September 4, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Woodfin Chapel Smyrna. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
