Brother Richard Horn, age 59 of Murfreesboro and missionary to Thailand died Sunday, September 15, 2013. He was a native of Paintsville Kentucky and was preceded in death by his parents, John Martin and Dorothy Winters Horn. Brother Horn's home church is Franklin Road Baptist Church. He and his wife have served as Missionaries to Thailand since 1991. They have started 16 churches and have a children's home currently housing 92 children ages 5-19. He began a Bible Institute and have had 52 students that have surrendered to full time service. In 2010, he set up a printshop there by the children's home, printing and distributing tracts and literature. Mrs. Horn will continue with the mission work they were called to there in Thailand. Brother Horn was a Vietnam veteran, in the United States Marine Corp where he proudly served and was honorably discharged in June of 1976. He then went to work at Ford Motor Co and trusted Christ as his savior in 1977. He attended Hyles-Anderson College in Crown Pointe, Indiana and graduated in 1987. He is survived by wife Srichand Duangpichai Horn; daughter, Lisa Marie Gloden and husband Randy of Manchester; grandchildren, Stephen, Jonathan, Caleb, Jessica, Michael and Alexander Gloden, and a host of other family and friends. Visitation will be 10:00 AM with the Funeral service following at 11:30 AM Thursday, all at Franklin Road Baptist Church in Murfreesboro, TN. Pastor Mike Norris will officiate.
