Richard E. Hickman, age 81 of Nashville died Sunday. He was a native of Rutherford County and was the son of the late, Alma and Enzy Hickman. He moved to South Houston Texas at age 5 and was a graduate of Sam Houston State University in 1953. Mr. Hickman worked for Harris County as a night Clerk until his retirement, and then moved to Nashville. Mr. Hickman was a dog lover and active Democrat. He enjoyed genealogy and was a member of the Masonic Lodge and longtime active member of McKendree United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to McKendree Methodist Church, Alzheimer's Association, MDA or your local Animal Shelter. A memorial service will be 12Noon Friday August 2, 2013 at McKendree United Methodist Church. Visitation will be 11AM till 12Noon Friday at McKendree United Methodist Church.
