Rebecca Louise Hall Thompson age 65 of Smyrna, passed away Sunday November 24, 2013. She is preceded in death by her father; Robert E. Hall and her nephew Robert Hall. Mrs. Thompson is survived by her husband of 20 years; Jimmy Thompson, daughter; Robin Shumate and her husband James of Smyrna, her mother; Louise Hall of Hiram, Georgia, two grandchildren; Kayleigh Shumate, Julia Shumate, and a brother Robert Hall and his wife Ellen of Minden, Nevada. Mrs. Thompson was a retired teacher from Gra-Mar Elementary School in Nashville, where she was Teacher of the Year in 1990-1991. Visitation will be Wednesday December 4, 2013 from 4:00pm until time of service at 7:00pm at Woodfin Chapel Smyrna. Dr. Ronald Powe will officiate.
