Rebecca Jernigan Ellis, age 89, of Nashville, TN passed away Thursday, May 17, 2012. A native of Rutherford County she was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Oda Lee Jernigan and several siblings. Funeral services will be Saturday at 3:00PM at Woodfin Funeral Chapel in Smyrna. Dr. Lemuel Wade and Dr. Carl Hoffman will officiate. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Ellis is survived by her husband, Kenneth Ellis; daughters, Jo Ann Boyd of Murfreesboro and Sharon (Gary) Follis of Hermitage; three grandchildren, Kim Cox of Fayetteville, Chad Follis of Franklin and Cory Follis of Marietta, GA; and seven great grandchildren. Mrs. Ellis was a member of Glenwood Baptist Church. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be Friday from 4:00PM to 8:00PM at Woodfin Funeral Chapel in Smyrna. 615-893-5151.
