Ray Vaughn, age 92, of Murfreesboro, died Friday at Middle Tennessee Medical Center. Mr. Vaughn was a native of Overton County and the son of the late Walton B. and Lottie Poston Vaughn. Mr. Vaughn was also preceded in death by his wife Evelyn Jacobs Vaughn who died in 1996, two brothers; Enloe Vaughn and Charles Bud Vaughn and three sisters; Oleda Howes, Lenora Weaver and Reba Martin. Funeral Services will be 2:30 PM Monday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Rev. Wendell Price and Rev. Steve Hutson will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery with full military honors. Mr. Vaughn is survived by his brother and sister in law; Jack and Jean Vaughn of Murfreesboro, a sister; Genevieve Arnold of Murfreesboro, and nieces and nephews. Mr. Vaughn was a member of the Third Baptist Church and was a retired owner of Vaughn Electrical and Mechanical Company of Murfreesboro. He was a veteran of World War II.
