Mr. Ray Gregory Schmidt, Jr., age 58, of Murfreesboro, TN passed away Saturday, March 9, 2019. He was born in Chicago, IL. Mr. Schmidt enjoyed listening to rock-n-roll music and going fishing. He taught himself how to work on small engines.

Mr. Schmidt is survived by his wife of 36 years, Dianna Schmidt; mother, Carol Schmidt SummerKamp of N. Ft. Myers, FL; siblings, Kim Mossholder and her husband Roy of Ft. Myers, FL, Ellen Kannali and her husband Richard of N. Ft. Myers, Brenda Vegh of Parma Heights, OH, and Tyler Schmidt and his wife Becky of South Carolina; children, Dawn Pierce and her husband Jeff of Murfreesboro and Tony Cogdill and his wife MaryAnn of Ransomville, NY; grandchildren, Nicole Cogdill and her fiancée John Warren, Jay Cogdill, and Katie Cogdill; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Tyrone Schmidt; his father, Don SummerKamp; and his adoptive father, Ray Schmidt, Sr.
