Ralph Franklin O'Brien, age 82 of Smyrna died Monday October 13, 2014 at his home. He was a native of Madison Kansas and was the son of the late, William Jackson O'Brien and Sara Jones O'Brien. Mr. O'Brien was member of the Methodist Church and had worked many jobs in his life. He had worked the Oil Fields in Kansas then managed the Bus Station in Liberal Kansas for many years before working in the Auto Parts Industry. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Phyllis O'Brien; children, Brooks O'Brien and wife Kimberly of Nolensville, Bo O'Brien and wife Hope of Murfreesboro, Christina Gunn of Orange Grove, Texas; grandchildren, Bekah, Morgan, Sam, Lily, Bethany, Taylor, Mark, Levi and Sarah; sisters, Margaret Roe of Omaha Nebraska, Pat Hammonds of Pratt Kansas, Kathy Rohr of Arlington Heights, Illinois; brother, Edward O'Brien of Houston Texas. Memorial service will be 3:00PM Sunday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Burial will follow at Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery in Pergam with Military Honors at a later date.
