Quay Elizabeth Phifer, age 93, of Murfreesboro died Thursday August 25, 2016. She was a native of Iuka MS and was preceded in death by her husband Oris Phifer; parents, Chester and Reedy Timbs Frederick; brothers, Carlyle Frederick, Eudell Frederick, William James Frederick. Mrs. Phifer was a member of Riverview Baptist Church and was Bookkeeper for Dr. E.C. Tolbert and Dr. Paul Estes at Family Clinic for many years.

She is survived by her son, Freddy Phifer and wife Brenda of Leanna; daughter, Karen Lamb and husband Steve of Murfreesboro; sister, Catherine Bridges of  Iuka, MS; grandchildren, Lindsey Cole and husband Patrick of Murfreesboro, Jeremy Lamb of Murfreesboro; great-grandchildren, Austin Lamb, Gavin and Emily Cole.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Stones River Manor Benevolent Fund. The family would like to express a special thank you to Stones River Manor and the Tennessee State Veterans Home East Wing for taking such good care of their mother, Quay Phifer.

Funeral service will be 10:00AM Saturday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Dr. E.C. Tolbert will officiate. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be 4:00PM to 7:00PM Friday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.
