PREULOW HUDSON BROWN, age 86, of Murfreesboro died Tuesday, July 28, 2009. He was a native of Cornelia, GA and the son of the late Frederick J. and Rebecca Sears Brown. He was also preceded in death by 2 sisters and 3 brothers. Funeral service will be 10:00am Friday at Middle Tennessee Baptist Church. Pastor Tony Hutson will officiate. Graveside service will be 2:00pm est. at Chattanooga National Cemetery with Military Rites. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Virginia Krajesky Brown, sons, Stephen D. (Debbie) Brown of Murfreesboro, Gregory E. (Sharon) Cashion of Cleveland, TN, daughters, Glenda K. Vertner of Loveland, OH, Sharon E. (Glenn) Curtis of Cleveland, TN, brother, Eugene Brown of Gainesville, GA, sisters, Commie Love of Forrest Park, GA, Patricia Gowder of Gainesville, GA, 9 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. Mr. Brown was a member and deacon of Middle Tennessee Baptist Church and a truck driver for 29 years before his retirement. He served as a Cavalry Scout for the 6th US Cavalry Regiment in the Army during WWII. He served as Commander, Vice Commander, and member of the Board of Trustees for the 6th US Cavalry Association. He also served on the Board of Directors for the 6th US Cavalry Museum in Fort Oglethorpe, GA. The deacons of Middle Tennessee Baptist Church will serve as Pallbearers.
