PHYLLIS SKIDMORE FIELDS age 72 of Murfreesboro, TN died Sunday July 12, 2009. A native of Harlan, KY, she was the daughter of the late Robert Skidmore and Ethel Howard Skidmore Carr. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Rev. Bobby Maxwell officiating. Burial will be in Carlton Cemetery in Rockvale. Phyllis is survived by sons, William Clark (Luz) Fields of Imperial, MO and David Eugene Fields of Antioch, TN. and daughter, Debra Lynn McCauley of Mt. Juliet, TN, sister, Mary Lois Hoskins of Abingdon, VA, and brothers, Robert Clark (Sherry) Skidmore of Elizabethton, TN, Jimmy Skidmore of Greenville, TN, and grandchildren Tanya Fields and Shannon McCauley. Phyllis was a member of the Baptist Church and retired from the Rutherford County School Board. She was also preceded in death by step-father, Jack Carr. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
