Phyllis Razo

Mrs. Phyllis Ann Razo, age 80, of Smyrna, Tennessee, passed away Monday, August 3, 2026. Mrs. Razo was born in Ft. Wayne, Indiana on May 4, 1946.

Phyllis spent her working career with the United States government, working in positions with the Internal Revenue Service, NASA, and the Bureau of Indian Affairs. She loved to travel across the country for which she had worked for many years. Upon her retirement, she immersed herself in her love of painting and was a member of the Tennessee Art League. She was also a member of the Abiding Faith Lutheran Church in Smyrna.

Phyllis is survived by her daughter, Michele Reding of Smyrna, Tennessee; son, Matthew Razo, of Houston, TX, as well as grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Razo is preceded in death by her father; her mother, Gertrude Weldy (nee Pollard); and her siblings.

Cremation arrangements are being handled by Woodfin Funeral Chapels. 

A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 5, 2026, at Abiding Faith Lutheran Church, 10411 Old Nashville Hwy, Smyrna, TN 37167. Visitation will be held from 10 am until 11 am, with the service immediately following at 11 am.
