Phouxay Boutdavong, a casino dealer and lifelong resident of Providence, RI and Murfreesboro TN died unexpectedly on April 23, 2017 the age of 62 at his work town in Thackerville, Oklahoma. He was the loving husband of Sengchanh (Soukthavone) Boutdavong, they were married for 36 years.

Born in Vientiane (Phonehong) Laos, he was the son of the late Oune and Thongkham (Thongvilay) Boutdavong. He graduated from Dongdok University in Laos. Phouxay worked at the Winstar World Casino and Resort since 2008.

Besides his wife , he leaves a daughter, Vilayvanh Boutdavong and her husband, Woody A. Mendoza, a son, Souksavanh Boutdavong and his wife Nina Xoumphonphakdy. Four grandchildren, Jalen B. Mendoza, Nilanh B. Mendoza, Elai B. Mendoza and Ryland Boutdavong. Seven brothers, Bountiene Boutdavong, Bountene Boutdavong, Vene Boutdavong, Salong Boutdavong, Thongsamay Boutdavong, Kongchai Boutdavong and Kongdao Boutdavong.

His passions were spending time and having long talks on the phone with family and friends, fishing and traveling. He will long be remembered as a selfless and gentlemanly manner, love of his family and friends.

His funeral will be held on Saturday, April 29 at 3pm from the Woodfin Funeral Chapels,1488 Lascassas Pike Murfressboro, TN 37130. Buddhist ceremony and Cremation to follow. Visiting hours Friday April 28, 4-9pm.
