PEARL ELIZABETH SMOTHERMAN VAUGHN, age 83 of Smyrna died Sunday March 7, 2010. She was a native of Rutherford County and was preceded in death by her husband, John E. Vaughn, and her parents, Leonard and Ethel Pope Smotherman; sisters, Beulah Bryant, Frances Hibdon, and Ruby Langford; brother, J.W. Smotherman. She was a member of the Stewarts Creek Church of Christ and a devoted wife and mother. She is survived by her children, Kenneth (Dolores) Barrett, Michael (Twyla) Barrett both of Murfreesboro, Richard E. (Margie) Vaughn of Franklin, and Patsy C. Barrett of Smyrna; sister, Mildred (Bobby) Eaton of Murfreesboro; seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Jeff, Jason, Chris, and Dylan Barrett, Anthony Smith, Jason Hendrix, Keith and Kerry Vaughn, Funeral service will be 2:00PM Wednesday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna with Greg Vick officiating.
