Pauline Barber Lennon age 98 of Murfreesboro, TN, died Thursday November 3, 2011. A native of Harnett County, NC, she was the daughter of the late William and Bernice McMillan Barber, and was also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Earle Lennon who died in 1998. Mrs. Lennon is survived by her son, Joe Lennon and his wife Cindy of Harrison. AR; daughters, Frances Lennon of Murfreesboro, TN, Julia Estabrook and her husband Kent of Livermore, CA; grandchildren, Jay and Blake Lennon and Molly and Ben Estabrook; nine great- grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Rev. Pam Pilote officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Mrs. Lennon was a member of the First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for 25 years. She was a graduate of East Carolina University and a retired teacher with the Rutherford County school system. After her retirement, she volunteered at the Red Cross, was a member of the Womans Club, and taught English as a second language. The family would like to thank Broadmore Assisted Living and Adams Place for the loving care they gave Mrs. Lennon. Memorials may be made to the Building Fund at First Baptist Church in memory of Mrs. Lennon. Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Saturday at WOODFIN MEMORIAL CHAPEL. 893-5151.
