Mr. Paul R. "Snake" Toombs, age 69, of Christiana, TN passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2016. He was born in Rutherford County, TN to the late Oscar Otis and Alene "Dean" McRae Toombs. Snake was a hard-working skilled painter who travelled for his craft. He painted several Hard Rock Café locations in Florida and the Planet Hollywood in New York City. He was a member of the Church of Christ and proudly served his country in the United States Army.

Snake is survived by his wife of 50 years, Evelyn Toombs; three children, Ray Toombs and his wife Della of Aurburntown, TN, Jeffrey Toombs and his wife Patty of Murfreesboro, TN, and Kiley Toombs and family friend David Brannigan of Shelbyville, TN; sister, Annette Morton and her husband Bobby of Bradyville, TN; and four grandchildren, Austin Gregg, Dallas Gregg, Michael Myrick, and Christian Toombs. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ed Toombs.

Visitation with the family will be Saturday, November 19, 2016 from 9:00am until 11:00am at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 19, 2016 at 11:00am at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Nolensville Cemetery with Military Honors. Family and friends will serve as pall bearers.
