PAUL SPICER KIPPING JR. age 79, of Murfreesboro passed away January 12, 2010. A native of Rutherford Co., he was the son of the late Ruth Reagor Kipping Hutton and Paul Spicer Kipping SR. Paul was a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School in San Antonio, TX and attended Trinity University. He was a veteran of the Korean War and served in the Tennessee Air National Guard for 34 years. He retired from the State of Tennessee Dept. of Alcoholic Beverage Commission. He was preceded in death by his daughter Ruth Kipping Thomas, his aforementioned parents, his Aunt Bessilee McCord, and his mother and father in law, Walter and Grace Brinkley. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Finnie Brinkley Kipping, his son Paul Spicer Kipping III, grandchildren Ashley A. Kipping and Kevin A. Kipping, and sister in law, Teresa B. Gregory of Johnson City, TN. Paul is a member of North Boulevard Church of Christ. Visitation will be 4:00 until 8:00 PM Friday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be Saturday at 10:30 AM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Bro. David Young officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
