Memorial service for Paul Stephen Johnson, age 78, of Mount Juliet, Tennessee will take place Sunday, October 12, 2025, at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Steve passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2025. Visitation with the family will be Sunday, October 12, 2025, from 1:00p.m. until the time of memorial services beginning at 2:00p.m.

Steve was born on March 25, 1947, to the late John Paul Johnson and Louise Johnson in Nashville, TN. Steve is survived by his wife of 36 years, Gail Johnson, and his sister Lanie Johnson. He loved his wife and his sister dearly and spoke of them with deep compassion daily. Steve was a very unique person who cherished his family and friends.

He attended Tennessee Tech University with a degree in sociology and a Masters Degree from Texas A &M. He had a distinguished career as an investigator with the District Attorney of Hunt County, Texas.

His many other loves were living in a rural area where he could observe and enjoy nature all around him along with fishing many lakes in Middle TN. As a true car enthusiast, he was fascinated by hot rods and drawn to speed and powerful engines, using his expertise building cars and racing.

Stevie, as some called him, will be missed desperately by those who knew and loved him.
