Patsy Elaine Huffman, age 72 of Murfreesboro died Thursday May 30, 2013. She was a native of Knoxville and was preceded in death by her father, Edward Lyke. Mrs. Huffman worked as a secretary and a child care provider. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Mrs. Huffman was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church. Mrs. Huffman was an avid member of the Garden Lovers Club and was a certified master gardener; and a life member of National Garden Clubs. She served as editor of the Tennessee Federation of Garden Clubs Annual Journal. She was also active member of the United Methodist Women and served as editor of their monthly newsletter Mrs. Huffman is survived by her husband, Jim Huffman; children, Cathy Kelley and husband Rodney of Eagleville, Elaine Roach and husband John of Knoxville, Randy Huffman of Murfreesboro, Chris Huffman and wife Pam of Murfreesboro, Steve Huffman and wife Doki of Murfreesboro, Jamie Huffman of Murfreesboro, Kelly Parkinson and husband John of Murfreesboro; mother, Catharine Lyke Sebby of Knoxville; sister, Linda Birchfiel and husband Ross of Maryville; grandchildren, Laura, Philip and Joe Pendergrass, Cory, Morgan, Lily, Rachel, Christopher, Alex and Kayla Huffman, Juliet Parkinson; great-grandchildren, Alexia and Isaiah Pendergrass, Tiayair Huffman. Funeral service will be 11AM Monday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Rev. Earl Davis and Rev. Bill Nickle will officiate. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
