Patsy Diane Harris Burns , age 69 of Eagleville, TN, passed away Tuesday April 18, 2017. A native of Murfreesboro, TN, she was born January 20, 1948 to the late Noah Lee and Annie Priscilla Langrell Harris. Mrs. Burns was also preceded in death by her brothers, Clifford Harris and Billy Wise, and by sisters, Mari Anna Merrit, Wilma McClaren, and Marion Wise.
Mrs. Burns is survived by her husband, Dallas H. Burns; children, Mary Lynn Burns Goins of Murfreesboro, TN, William Dallas Burns of Eagleville, TN, Paul Anthony Davenport of Murfreesboro, TN, Keila Davenport Gadd of Murfreesboro, TN; grandchildren, Christopher Davenport, Kristin Goins, Kara Willett, Cassaundra Davenport, Kelsey Brown, Rob Burns, Matt Burns, and James Jordan; great-grandchildren, Layne Woodall, Case Willett, and Kailyn Brown; sisters, Elizabeth Baumann of Nashville, TN, Nancy Hitchcock of Spencer, TN, Connie Redmon of Murfreesboro, TN, Barbara Hayes of Brentwood, TN, Shirley Wise of Ohio, Joyce Colman of Murfreesboro, TN, and Linda Pitts of Clarksville, TN; brothers, Noah Harris, Jr., Michael Harris, and Pete Harris all of Murfreesboro, TN.
Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Funeral service will be held 10:00 AM Friday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Pastor Bob Odell officiating. Burial will follow in the Burns Cemetery, Rockvale, TN with Jimmy Burns, Paul Burns, Chris Davenport, Blake Willett, Rob Burns, and Matt Burns serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Brian Pitts and Corley Burns.
Mrs. Burns was an active member of the Rockvale Church of God, and taught children's Sunday school for many years. She was very active in the community including coaching girls' softball for ten years. She always enjoyed a good joke and lots of laughs.
