Patsy Taylor Edwards, age 70 of Mt. Juliet, TN. passed away Monday February 27, 2012 at her home. A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Edgar Lynn Nig Taylor and Louise Burris Taylor. She was also preceded in death by her step-mother, Margaret Alexander Taylor. Mrs. Edwards is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Hiram Edwards, Jr. of Mt. Juliet, TN: sons, Chase Shrum and his wife Lynn and Scott Shrum and his wife Cathey all of Lewisburg, TN; very special grandchildren, that she dearly loved, Chance, Carly, Taylor, and McKinley all of Lewisburg, TN; two sisters, Shirley Powell and her husband Milton of Fosterville, TN, and Emily Fleming of Murfreesboro, TN; two step-daughters, Judy Street and her husband John of Lebanon, TN, and Pam Skelton and her husband Tommy of Mt. Juliet, TN; 5 step-grandchildren and 9 step-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday at Woodfin Funeral Chapel, Smyrna with Bro. Leon Edwards and Bro. Milton Hicks officiating. Burial will follow in the Lannom Cemetery with Mark, Kevin, and Lee Fleming, Colin Miller, Joe and Jeff Paty serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Bennie, Will Davis, and Cecil Edwards, John Street and Tommy Skelton. Mrs. Edwards was a member of the Church of Christ, and had been employed with G.E., Cumberland Swan, and the Rutherford County Board of Education. She attended and graduated from Christiana School in 1959. Greatest of all were her home, cooking, yard gardening and flowers. A very special thanks to Centennial Hospital and staff, Dr. Hyatt Sutton, and Dr. Salim Mehio for the many years of taking care of Mrs. Edwards. Thank you very much to Willowbrook Hospice, especially Karen, Debbie, and Melissa. To the wonderful man I married, thanks, with many thanks, I loved you so much.
