Patricia Frances (Irlbeck) Loats, age 75, died peacefully on September 24th 2014 at her home in Murfreesboro, Tennessee after a brief struggle with cancer. Patricia was born June 26, 1939 at home in Auburn, Iowa to Anselm (A.T.) and Wilhelmina (Steffes) Irlbeck. She graduated from Manning High School, in 1957. On June 2, 1962, Patricia married Kenneth J. Loats and to this union were born 4 daughters: Julie, Beth, Sue and Jennifer. They made their home in Storm Lake, Iowa before retiring to Murfreesboro, Tennessee. She was a bookkeeper for several years. Along with being devoted to her family, she thoroughly enjoyed watching athletic events, traveling, sewing, reading, bowling and playing board games. Patricia's life will always be honored and cherished by her family which include her husband Kenneth J. Loats and daughters: Julie (John) Rohrer of Clarion, Iowa; Beth Loats of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; Sue (Steve) Leuer of Royse City, Texas and Jennifer Loats of Mason City, Iowa; grandchildren Nick (Meggie) Rohrer, Jessica (Ryan) Nail, Macoy Rohrer, Anastacia Loats, Zachary Leuer, Katelyn Leuer, Allison Leuer and Madilynn Loats and great grandchildren: Quinn Rohrer, Kinlee Nail and Elsie Nail; one brother, Merlyn (Beverly) Irlbeck; two sisters Elaine Dammann; Joyce Nelson and two sister-in-laws, Catherine Irlbeck and Carol Irlbeck. She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Ronald Irlbeck Floyd Irlbeck and nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Monday, October 6th 2014 4:00pm - 7:00pm at Woodfin Memorial Chapel Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, October 7th 2014 at 10:30am at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Murfreesboro, Tennessee Private Interment at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Storm Lake, Iowa at a later date Woodfin Memorial Chapel in Murfreesboro, Tennessee is in charge of arrangements. www.woodfinchapel.com In lieu of flowers, memorials may be provided to the family to give to charities of their choice.
