Patricia "Pat" Joyce Frey, age 77, passed away on Sunday, May 27, 2018. She was a native of Springfield, TN and the daughter of the late Clyde Owen and Clellie Lee Ramsey Brooks. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Paul Woodrow "Woody" Frey. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Wauford, sisters, Minnie Sanders (Albert) and Sandra York.

Funeral service will be 2:00pm Wednesday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Burial will follow in Mapleview Cemetery.

She is survived by her daughter, Judy Merritt (Steve) of Murfreesboro, brothers, Dennie Brooks (Mary Ann), Jack Brooks (Sara), grandchildren, Kimberly Shearin (Chris), Tiffanie Claiborne (Quincy), Christina Barnes, Eric Barrett (Brandi), Jamie Jackson, James Merritt (Melissa), Terry Merritt, 22 great grandchildren and multiple nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Frey was a Certified Nurse Technician until her retirement and owner operator of Patty Cake Daycare in Hermitage.

The family would like to thank the Willowbrook Hospice and staff for kind and compassionate care. Also, Wellington Place and staff for loving Mrs. Frey and letting her enjoy life until the end. Special thanks to Peaches, Anu, Gabriel and Marie.

Pallbearers will be Darryl Daniels, Chris Shearin, Quincy Turner, Tracy Brooks, Jason Brooks and Clint Teters.
