OZELLA MAY (BILLIE) TALLANT, age 86, of Baton Rouge, La. but formerly of Murfreesboro died Monday, June 1, 2009 at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge, La. She was born in Greenfield, Ohio and was the daughter of the late William Rooks and Melinda Adkins Rooks. She is survived by her daughter, Margaret Long and her husband Michael of Baton Rouge, La.; step sons, Pete Tallant of Smithville, John Tallant of Atlanta and Alvin Tallant of Knoxville; sisters, Martha Gregg, Greenfield, Ohio and Margaret Dickess of Troy, Ohio; 9 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Funeral services 10 am Friday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Visitation with the family will be 6-8 pm Thursday. Burial will follow in Roselawn. Mrs. Tallant was married to the late William C.
