Oveline Gail Smith Bean age 70 of LaVergne, passed away Monday May 19, 2014. A native of Mullins, South Carolina she was the daughter of the late Joseph Benson and Ruth Johnson Hucks. She is also preceded in death by her husband Eugene Bean, sisters; Betty Barnhill, Ann Puckhaber, Sharon (Shy) Johnson and a brother; J.B. Hucks, Sr. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Sunday at Smyrna Church of Nazarene 404 Overton Drive, Smyrna, Tennessee with Pastor Tony Clemons officiating. Burial will follow at Rutledge Hill Community Cemetery in Hillsboro, Tennessee with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Ms. Bean is survived by her children; daughter; Yuvon Stanfield and her husband Calvin of LaVergne, son; Tim Smith of Murfreesboro, granddaughter Miranda Gail Stanfield of LaVergne, two sisters; Joy Dean Odom, Doris Stokes both of South Carolina, and a close family friend; Jeff Stateler. She is also survived by step-children; Ronnie Bean, Sandra Segars, Deborah Bean, Renae Bean, and step-grandchildren; Jake and Josh Segars, and Chris Noe and Kevin Noe. Ms. Bean was a member of Smyrna Church of Nazarene where she was a Sunday teacher for many years and was also a Hospice volunteer. Visitation will be Saturday from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at Woodfin Chapel Smyrna. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Smyrna Church of Nazarene Building Fund in her memory.
