Mr. Oscar Lara Hernandez, age 58, of LaVergne, TN passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2015. He was born in Llera, Mexico to Bonifacia Hernandez Porras and Braulio Lara Palomo. Mr. Hernandez attended Iglesia Oasis de Amor and was a self-employed auto mechanic. Mr. Hernandez is survived by his wife of nearly 40 years, Edelmira Vargas; six children, Oscar Lara and his wife Jessica, Karina Lara and her husband Jaime, Carlos Lara and his wife Farrah, Veronica Lara and her husband Omero, Liliana Lara and her husband Ricardo, and Jonathan Lara; and 18 grandchildren, Ashley, Dania, Oscar, Jaime, Jocelyn, Jacklyn, Tony, Gabriel, Kayla, Brandon, Jenny, Carlos, Jr., Christian, Brian, Katie, Chris, Jasmine, and Brianna. Visitation with the family will be Friday, September 25, 2015 from 10:00am - 2:00pm at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Funeral services will be held Friday, September 25, 2015 at 2:00pm at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Burial will follow at Mapleview Cemetery, Smryna.
