OMA MAI DUKE HACKNEY, age 90, of Rutherford County died Wednesday at Azela Court in Smyrna, Tn. She was a native of the Florence Community and was the daughter of the late James Albert & Annie Parker Duke. She is survived by her son, James N. Hackney and his wife, Carol of Murfreesboro; brother, Frank Edward Duke and his wife Jo of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Patrick C. Hackney and his wife, Kimberly, Sterrin Hackney and Vallie Mai Hackney; great grandchildren, Sean Hackney, Grace Hackney and Jaclyn Hackney. The family will meet at Roselawn Memorial Gardens where graveside services will be held at 1 pm Saturday with Ralph Gilliam officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 4-8 pm Friday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Mrs. Hackney was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Clayborn Hackney and her son, Robert C.
