Ret. Col Olin E. McFolin, age 83 of Murfreesboro died Sunday August 14, 2011. He was a native of Murfreesboro TN and was the son of the late O.P. and Doris Williams McFolin. He was a member of the Church of Christ and retired from the United States Air Force. After his retirement he was involved with Defense Electronics development, Real Estate, and homebuilding in Rutherford County. He is survived by his children, John McFolin and wife Elaine of Murfreesboro, Melinda Olmedo and husband Manuel of California, Renee Whealen and husband Matthew of California, the mother of his children, Marion Hamilton McFolin; grandchildren, Melissa, Matthew, Rebecca and Jake; sister, Yvonne Jones of Murfreesboro. The family would like to express special thanks to the staff at Tennessee State Veterans Home for their special care of Mr. McFolin. Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Friday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with John Tidwell officiating. Burial will follow with full Military Rites at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
