O.C. CHARLES SWIFT, age 85 of Murfreesboro died Friday February 6, 2009. He was a native of Gerard, IL and the son of the late Oliver and Elsie Baker Swift. Visitation will be 2:00PM to 6:00PM Sunday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Funeral service will be 2:00PM Monday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel, with Bro. Tony Holt and Bro. Charles Mullins officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Maude Youree Swift, children, Charles (Janet) Swift of Milton, Diana (Don) Lowe of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Dana Lowe, Andrew (Jenny) Lowe, Shane (Tammy) Swift, Suze (Eric) Gilbert, Sam (Kimberly) Swift, Emily and Brian Swift; seven great-grandchildren, and one brother, George Swift of Gerard, IL. Mr. Swift was a member of Kingwood Heights Church of Christ and retired Machinist with AVCO. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Memorials may be made in memory of Mr. Swift to Kingwood Heights Church of Christ Library. Grandchildren will server as pallbearers.
