Nyla McKnight Satterfield, age 68, passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2016. A native of Lascassas, she is the daughter of James C. McKnight and the late Alta Virginia Hare McKnight.

Funeral Service for Ms. Satterfield will be at 11 AM Saturday, October 22, 2016 at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Bro. Tony Holt and Bro. Teb Batey officiating. Burial will follow at Milton Cemetery. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.

Ms. Satterfield was a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, reading, drawing and creative writing. She was  active with the North Boulevard Quilters and was also a member of North Boulevard Church of Christ. She loved her family with all her heart and was a faithful follower of Christ.

Ms. Satterfield is also survived by her daughter, Karen Satterfield of Murfreesboro; five sisters, Carol Vaughter of Murfreesboro, Neika McKnight of Murfreesboro, Rita Lester and her husband Lannie of Milton, Nancy Miller of Lascassas, Darlene Miller and her husband Stan of Lascassas; one brother, James "Kenny" McKnight of Lascassas; eleven nieces and nephews, Rob Vaughter, Charlotte Beard, Laura Vaughter, Marty Bedsaul, Marla Bowman, Stephen Lester, Jeff Miller, Anna Miller Woerner, David, John and Nathan Miller, and several great-nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her first and second husbands, Gary Simmons and Henry Satterfield as well as two brothers-in-law, Mike Miller and Robert Vaughter Sr.

Visitation for Ms. Satterfield will be 4PM – 7PM Friday, October 21, 2016, and Saturday for an hour before the time of service.
