NICHOLAS LOUIS SIKALIS, age 89, of Lavergne, Tn. died Wednesday, April 1, 2009 at home. He was born in Baltimore, MD. and was the son of the late John & Pethika Semara Sikalis. He is survived by his wife, Wanda Sikalis; daughters, Carolyn Palmer of Minn., Chris Smith of Texas, Wanda Lehman of N. C. , Anna Allen of La. and Nicola Rae Sikalis of Lavergne; sons, Nicholas Sikalis, Jr. of MD., Thomas Sikalis of Texas,, Michael Sikalis of Colorado; brother, John Sikalis; sisters, Angie Rounis, Virginia Matzdr and Mary Verginakis, numerous grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Funeral services 10:30 am Monday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna with Father Gregory Hohnholp officiating. Burial will follow in Mapleview Cemetery. Visitation with the family 4-7 pm Saturday and 4-7 pm Sunday. Mr. Sikalis was a member of the Greek Orthodox Church, veteran of the U. S. Navy, and a retired restaurant and bar owner.
