Nellie Fae Newton Tipper, age 77, formerly of Smyrna, and a loving wife , mother , grandmother, and great grandmother, died Monday, December 20, 2010 in Athens, AL. Mrs. Tipper was a native of Rogersville, AL and daughter of the late Nola and Alice Eddy Newton. She was also preceded in death by her husband Howard Rufus Tipper who died in 1998. Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Woodfin Chapel Smyrna. Doug Mitchell will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Garden. Mrs. Tipper is survived by a son Ronald Tipper of Athens, AL, three daughters, Deborah Ann Tipper of Athens, AL, Donna Kay Tipper of Smyrna, and Pamela Lea Hardin of Madison, AL, sisters, Laura Littrell of Chattanooga, Maggie Williams of Ethridge, and Charlotte Plunkett of St. Joseph, two grandchildren, Jesse Heath of Christiana and Dacyndle Wix of Huntsville, AL, . and five great-grandchildren.
