Nell M. Vance, age 86 of Murfreesboro, TN, passed away Wednesday June17, 2015. A native of Bradyville, TN, she was the daughter of the late Allen Duke and Elsie Stacey Duke Jernigan. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph A. Vance who died in 1967 and her brothers, Billy and Larry Jernigan, Fred and Howard C. "Jack" Duke, and a sister, Mary Sue Jernigan. Mrs. Vance is survived by daughters, Cynthia Vance Maxwell of Readyville, TN, and Connie Vance Turner of Murfreesboro, TN; brothers, Price Jernigan and Allen Duke, Jr. of Murfreesboro, TN, Wayne Duke of Woodbury, TN; sisters, Cleo Jernigan, Ann Barrett, Peggy Ray, and Linda Parker all of Murfreesboro, TN, Patricia Parker of Shelbyville, TN, and Wanda Magda of Palm Harbor, FL; grandchildren, Tyler (Angela) Black, Ashley Maxwell (Matt) Carr, and Cody Turner; great-grandchildren, Emma Jean and Alexandria Nellie Black. Visitation will be from 4:00PM to 8:00 PM Saturday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Funeral service will be 2:00PM Sunday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Reverend Jerry Howard officiating. Burial will follow in Gilley Hill Cemetery with nephews serving as pallbearers. Mrs. Vance was a member of Bellwood Baptist Church and was retired from Heatcraft.
