Nelda Doyle, age 82 of Murfreesboro, died Friday at her home surrounded by her family. She was a native of Chattanooga and the daughter of the late Malcolm and Lorene Burch. She was also preceded in death by a daughter Patricia Hudson in 2016.

Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Benjamin E. Doyle; daughters, Melanie Carter and husband Mark of Rockvale and Janet Fischer and husband Mike of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Amy Simpson and husband Chris of Shelbyville, Benjamin Bennett and wife Petra of San Diego, CA, and Ashton Marlin and husband Chad of Murfreesboro; great-grandchildren, Parker, Peyton, Madelyn, Knox, and Tobin; and a son in law, Johnny Hudson of Murfreesboro.

Mrs. Doyle was a charter member of Grace Lutheran Church and retired from Murfreesboro City Schools as the Hobgood Elementary School secretary.

Visitation will be Monday night from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be 12:00 pm Tuesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Pastor Daniel D. Otto officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
