NEIL KELLY LOKEY, age 85 died Oct. 25 2009. He was a native of Macon, GA, and son of the late George Alvis Lokey and Sara Beasley Lokey Ogles. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Rev. Perry Muse officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Mr. Lokey is survived by his wife of 59 years Joyce Bland Lokey; sons, George Michael (Deb) Lokey, Columbia, TN, and Neil Craig ( Libby) Lokey, Suwanee, GA; brother, John William Lokey, Dunedin, FL; and grandchildren, Janet Kathleen Lokey, Brandon Kelly Lokey, Lauren Elizabeth Lokey, and Garrard Neil Lokey. Mr. Lokey was a World War II veteran with the U.S. Army Air Corps, a charter member, deacon and elder of Northminster Presbyterian Church, a charter member of the Noon Lions Club, a fifty-year member of the Masonic Lodge, and an avid golfer and sportsman. He was formerly on the City of Murfreesboro Zoning Board of Appeals. Mr. Lokey was a forty year employee of South Central Bell Telephone Co. where he was central office manager.
