JESSE ONEAL NEAL JONES age 74 of Smyrna, TN, died suddenly at his home on March 27, 2011 of heart failure. He was the son of the late Thomas Andrew Jones and Cordia Warren Jones Quinn. Mr. Jones is survived by his wife of 44 years, Betty Mullins Jones; two sons, David Jones of Murfreesboro, TN and Lee Jones of Mt. Juliet, TN; two grandchildren, Abby and Zane Jones of Murfreesboro, TN; brothers, Jimmie Jones, Robert, and Anthony Quinn all of Washington, and Ronald (Phyllis) Quinn of California; sisters, Janice Quinn of California and Fran (Hank) Perry of Oregon; three aunts, Ruth Peterson of Montana, Mary (Jerry) Love and Earlene (Art) Buckingham both of California. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel with Arden Schlesinger and Edmund Arnold officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. He loved his family, especially Zane and Abby and also his dogs and birds. Neal was retired from the State of Tennessee Department of Corrections. He later had greenhouses in Smyrna, doing what he loved most, growing garden plants. He loved his garden and sharing his tomatoes with others. He was a member of the Tennessee Beekeepers Association, and enjoyed many hours of work with his bees.
