Mary Nancy Grammer Spivey, age 77, of Smyrna, TN died Sunday, June 15, 2014 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hosptial. A native of Nashville, she was the daughter of the late Marion Lee and Mary Acklen Grammer. Funeral services will be at 11:00AM Thursday at Trinity Christian Church. (1429 Lee Victory Pkwy, Smyrna, TN 37167) Pastor Jeff Hollingshead will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Mrs. Spivey is survived by her husband Bobby Spivey; sons, Michael Royal of Smyrna, Barry Royal and his wife Sherry of Murfreesboro, Wade Royal and his wife Anna of Murfreesboro; daughters, Elyse Ann Johnson and her husband Steve of Milton, Patricia Garst of Florida, and Sally Cason of Florida; step-sons, William Robert Vogel of Texas and Dwight Vogel of Nashville; grandchildren, Trey and Jason Johnson, Lindsey West, Emily Royal, Julie Williams, Laura Williams, Justin, Hayley, Dylan, Colin, Lawson and Mary Catherine Royal; nine great-grandchildren; and special friends, Tammy Barrett and her daughter Kayson, and Doris and Clyde Jones. Mrs. Spivey was preceded in death by a daughter, Tracy Holland; and a brother, Lee Grammer. Visitation will be from 3:00PM to 7:00PM Wednesday at Woodfin Chapel in Smyrna. Memorials may be made to the building fund at Trinity Christian Church in memory of Mrs. Spivey.
