NANCY KIRTLEY KERR longtime residence of Murfreesboro, died Friday at Middle Tennessee Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Dr. James Addison and Maude Duval Kirtley and was preceded in death by her husband Fred F. Kerr Sr. who died in 1968, and a son Jimmy Kerr, brother Dr. James A. Kirtley Jr., and sister Betty Van Whittington. Mrs. Kerr was a member of First United Methodist Church and was a graduate of Tennessee College for Women. She was a former Gray Lady of Veterans Hospital and served as a volunteer with Rutherford Hospital auxiliary for more than 30 years. Visitation will be after 10:00 A.M. Monday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel follow by Funeral Services at 11:30 A.M. at the Chapel. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Reverend Tommy Perkins will officiate. Mrs. Kerr is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Fred and Mary Kerr Jr. of West Columbia, S.C., daughter and son-in-law Patricia and Patrick Shannon of Johnson City, TN., Sisters Jean Molloy of Murfreesboro, and Aynn Phillips of Albany, GA,. Grandchildren: Scott Shannon, Keith Shannon, Amy Hollifield, Rachel Denny, and Jay Shannon, and eight Great Grandchildren. Family will serve as pallbearers. www.woodfinchapel.com (615) 893-5151
