Nancy Maxwell Garner Mangrum , age 80 of LaVergne, TN, passed away Thursday February 2, 2017. A native of Sherwood, TN, she was the daughter of the late Claude and Pina Mulligan Maxwell. Mrs. Mangrum was also preceded in death by her first husband, J. T. Garner, a son, Phillip Claude Garner, a brother, Leon Maxwell, and a sister, Marie McKnight.

Mrs. Mangrum is survived by her husband, John Mangrum; sons, Alan Garner, and his wife Kathy of the Rover Community, and Glenn Garner of Smyrna, TN; daughters, Cindy Miller of Lebanon, TN, Naomi Barnett and Lisa Garner both of LaVergne, TN; brothers, Sidney Maxwell of Cowan, TN and Tom Maxwell of Maryville, TN; sister, Lois Garner of Murfreesboro, TN; grandchildren, Jamie Mitchell, Todd Garner, Jennifer and Brian Miller, Janet Lee, Cara Steele, and Russell and Craig Winfree; great-grandchildren, Amber and Matthew Mitchell, Kaleb Miller, Jason and Jocelyn Hopper, Brady and Addison Lee, and Cooper Steele.

Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Tuesday February 7, 2017 at Woodfin Funeral Chapel, Smyrna with Mike McPherson officiating. Graveside service will be 2:00 PM Tuesday at Mountain View Cemetery in Sherwood, TN. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday at Woodfin Funeral Chapel, Smyrna.

Mrs. Mangrum attended the Blackman Church of Christ and was a homemaker.
